It has been a long time since two quickfire announcements by the UK's Office for National Statistics (ONS) have generated such a positive response.
The organisation confirmed this week (November 27th) that Britain's gross domestic product (GDP) expanded by 0.8 per cent between the second and third quarters of 2013.
This means the economy has continued to build momentum throughout the course of the year, with 0.4 per cent growth reported between January and March and an expansion of 0.7 per cent being recorded in the second quarter.
